Tip Over Switches
Mercury Tip Over Switches that are used to interrupt the flow of electrical current in a circuit in position & level sensing applications. These switches contain electrical contacts that are sealed hermetically and glass casings filled with inert gas. The mercury tip over switches completes the circuits when the mercury touches a set of contacts upon tilting. Being encased, the mercury tip over switches are protected from oxidation and do not emit sparks.
